Good question! Let’s start by quickly reviewing the definition for the term ‘marketing,’ which is a key part of the phrase ‘digital marketing.’
Marketing is simply the process by which a product, service or idea is promoted to an audience. It can be as simple as hearing the hot dog guy at a baseball game call out, “Hot dogs! Get ya hot dogs here!” Or as creative and artistic as a witty billboard or radio advertisement.
So when the word ‘digital’ is added in front of the word ‘marketing’ all that is doing is specifying the chosen medium for the promotion.
Digital marketing is the promotion of a product, service or idea over digital channels such as the internet, search engines, social media and mobile phones.
Now is it expensive? Well...
Unfortunately, yes, digital marketing can be expensive. However, if the correct strategy is employed and the correct audience is targeted (the right way), then your return on investment should outweigh the initial costs.

Ah yes, truly a frequently asked question! Well quite honestly, yes and no… It depends on what you are looking to get out of your presence on social networks.
If you want it to merely be a “mini-website” in that it provides information about your services, educates your audience about your field and showcases elements of your company culture, then you don’t need a super detailed strategy.
However, if you want to grow your business from social media and develop a better understanding of your audience’s preferences, then starting with specific goals and metrics to measure each goal’s success is highly recommended.

In terms of SEO strategy, Hear Ye! Media includes that expertise in every website we build. Building a website without a SEO strategy is like building a plane without wings; it doesn't go anywhere. The website wouldn't gain any traction and wouldn't be readily searchable.
Outside of SEO strategy and the services listed above (website design and messaging audit/strategy), we do not readily provide those services. If you are an established client and together we determine additional services are necessary, then we can discuss that at that time. We limit our inbound services in order to maintain quality.
